What can be refunded through Oculus?

What can be refunded through Oculus?

Straight from the Oculus Rift Content Refund Policy, it's stated that:

You may return Rift apps, games, and many experiences purchased through Oculus for any reason, so long as you submit your request within fourteen days of purchase and you have engaged with the content for no more than two hours.

This is pretty standard stuff; if you've been playing the game for, say, six hours, before suddenly wanting your money back, you'll have a hard time getting it. This is designed as a way for you to quickly test a game to see if it can run on your system or to see if it's actually what the developer promised.

Oculus does have a few notes on what type of its content isn't eligible for a refund. The Refund Policy again states that they do not offer refunds on the following items:

  • Movies
  • Any content purchased as a bundle
  • DLC and in-app purchases
  • Content created outside the Oculus platform
  • Items you have already refunded, then purchased again

If you'd like to nevertheless request a refund on a product that would otherwise be denied by the content refund system, you can always contact Oculus Customer Support to see what it can do for you.
